Gujarat man went to drop wife at station, ended up travelling with her, Here's why

JJ News Desk

A man from Gujarat experienced an unexpected adventure while helping his wife board the Vande Bharat Express. Intending to simply assist with her luggage, he ended up being locked inside the moving train after the automated doors abruptly closed. His daughter, Kosha shared the story of her parents' "premium journey" in a post on X on April 2.

Kosha narrated that her mother was travelling for the first time in Vande Bharat from Vadodara to Mumbai on Tuesday to visit her. Since she had two big bags, her husband took the luggage for her and settled it well near the seats so that she could sit comfortably.

When Kosha's parents were inside, that was when the automatic door started beeping and before her father could realise, he got locked inside the train and the train started moving. When her father approached the ticket collector to stop the train, the man said it was too late and the train had already picked up speed.

Consequently, both her parents embarked on an unexpected joint journey, with the father travelling to the next station, Surat, while his wife continued to Mumbai and their car parked miles away at the Vadodara railway station.

The post went viral on social media with almost 90k views, triggering laughter and amusement from people who were amused by this unexpected turn of events.
