The incident occurred around 3.20 pm on December 22 under the Gnanabharathi Police Station limits, in front of a private PG near Gnanajyothi Nagar on Ullal Main Road.

According to police, the accused, identified as Naveen Kumar, arrived in a car and allegedly began harassing the woman. The complaint stated that he touched her inappropriately, pulled her clothes and tried to tear them despite her screaming for help, causing panic on the road.
