Fire erupts at Marine Chambers building in Mumbai, no report of deaths

Mumbai Police were informed of the fire at around 12.25 pm. The building is located in the city's Marine Lines area.

A massive fire erupted on the top floor of the five-storey Marine Chambers building in Mumbai, with efforts currently underway to douse the flames.

As per information, there were no immediate reports of any deaths or injuries, with police personnel and several fire tenders at the spot.

Police were informed of the fire in the building located in Marine Lines by neighbours at around 12.25 pm. The fire was confined to the fifth floor, with no one present inside the building.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be short circuit. However, the exact reason will be ascertained following a probe by the fire brigade.

Traffic in the area has been disrupted as a result of the blaze.
