JJ News Desk

A 30-year-old young filmmaker met with an accident in east Delhi and lay bleeding for nearly half an hour before someone helped and took him to a hospital. According to a Times of India report, the bystanders took pictures, videos as he remained on the ground fighting for his life.

As per CCTV footage from a nearby petrol pump, the victim, Piyush Pal, hit another bike and fell on the ground. He sustained heavy injuries to his face and head.

The incident occurred on the Outer Ring Road, in the lane leading from IIT crossing to Nehru Place, at approximately 9:45 pm on Saturday.

One of the few who had stopped to help the boy, said that Pal had lost a lot of blood and that people, who were there said he has been lying there for at least 30 minutes.

Later, some Good Samaritans put him in an auto and rushed him to a clinic nearby, who then referred him to PSRI Multispeciality Hospital on Press Enclave Marg. While the accident happened around 5.30pm, he got some medical help at 11pm. The delay in treatment, however, proved to be massive for the youth’s health.

A cop team, which reached the spot around 10.30pm, could not find anyone at the spot as both the injured had been moved to hospital.

An autopsy was conducted and his body handed over to his relatives on Wednesday for the last rites. The cremation took place late evening at Nigambodh Ghat.
