A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Wednesday evening in Delhi's Mangolpuri by a group of four or five men. CCTV footage from the area shows the victim running down the street, trying to escape, as the attackers pursue him and repeatedly stab him. Bystanders are seen watching the assault unfold but do not intervene.

Surveillance footage from Mangolpuri’s N Block captured the victim, identified as Akash, being chased through the street by four to five men, some carrying knives, as he ran toward a nearby house in an effort to escape.

Before he could enter the house, the men caught up with him at the gate and began stabbing him repeatedly. After Akash collapsed, the attackers dragged him into the middle of the street, where they continued to stab him for several moments before fleeing the scene.

Shortly afterward, an elderly man emerged from a nearby house carrying a stick and attempted to stop the attackers, but they had already managed to escape.

Several residents were present in the street during the attack and can be seen in the CCTV footage watching the incident unfold; however, none of them intervened, and some residents were even seen closing the doors of their homes.

The accused have been identified and police are actively working to arrest them.

"An incident of stabbing was reported in the Mangolpuri area of Delhi last night. The victim, Akash, was declared dead. The accused has been identified, and efforts are underway to nab him. Investigation is underway," said DCP Outer District Delhi Police.

The victim was a local resident who earned his living by selling goods from a cart in the area. The motive behind the attack has not yet been established.
