A man in Bihar came up with an unusual way to protect his newly purchased Mahindra Scorpio Classic from theft as he used a crane to lift the SUV onto the second floor of his house in Gopalganj.

A video showing the vehicle being lifted into the air and carefully placed on the rooftop of the house has gone viral on social media.

In the short clip, the SUV can be seen suspended from a crane as it is slowly raised to the rooftop of the two-storey house. The vehicle is then carefully lowered onto the roof.

The SUV belongs to Manoj Yadav who purchased it recently. Yadav works in Israel and had left the vehicle in the care of a driver while he was abroad. However, the driver later left, raising concerns about the safety of the car.

The family then decided to move the car to the rooftop to protect it from possible theft.

No official information has been released about the load-bearing capacity of the rooftop or the safety of keeping a vehicle there.

Based on the viral video and information from local residents, the unusual sight of a ‘Scorpio on the roof’ has become a topic of discussion online.
