Atiq Ahmed's Youngest Son Abaan Dies in Road Accident in Uttar Pradesh

Abaan Ahmed, the youngest son of slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed, was killed after the SUV he was travelling in reportedly lost control and crashed into a road divider in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district. Police said another occupant also died in the accident, while three others sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment.

Abaan Ahmed, the youngest son of slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed, died in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district on Thursday after the SUV he was travelling in crashed into a road divider.

Senior Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy said police received information about the crash at around 10.30 am. "Two people died in the accident, while three others sustained injuries. The injured are undergoing treatment at the medical college," he told reporters.

Abaan was the youngest of Atiq Ahmed's five sons. His eldest brother, Umar Ahmed, is lodged in Lucknow jail, while Ali Ahmed is in Jhansi jail. Another son, Asad Ahmed, was killed in a police encounter in Jhansi in April 2023. The fourth son, Ahzam, is not in custody.
