Air India has introduced flexible travel options for passengers as ongoing tensions in the Middle East continue to disrupt flight operations.
“In view of the continuing situation in the Middle East impacting flight operations, Air India is offering customers the option of complimentary rescheduling or full refunds on cancellation for confirmed bookings made on or before February 28 on flights to and from the Middle East, the UK and Europe for travel up to March 10," the airline said in a statement.
The carrier added that it is closely monitoring developments and advised passengers to regularly check their flight status for updates.
Additional flights to Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris
To manage rising travel demand amid the West Asia situation, Air India announced that it will deploy additional flights to several international destinations including Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris (Charles de Gaulle).
The airline said it will operate three additional flights between Delhi and Toronto between March 5 and March 11. It will also add three flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, along with one extra flight between Delhi and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) from March 7 to March 10.
Meanwhile, Air India’s low-cost subsidiary Air India Express said its services to Muscat will continue to operate as scheduled.
The airline also plans to add extra flights between Muscat and both Delhi and Mumbai to accommodate higher passenger demand during the ongoing disruption.
