6 killed after cargo ropeway collapses at Shakti Peeth in Gujarat

Six people died after a goods ropeway crashed at the famous Shaktipeeth in Pavagadh on Saturday. Preliminary information suggests that the accident occurred due to the breaking of the rope.

Six people died after a goods ropeway crashed at the famous Shaktipeeth in Pavagadh on Saturday.

Preliminary information suggests that the accident occurred due to the breaking of the rope. Panchmahal Collector confirmed the death of six persons, including two liftmen, two workers, and two others. According to the Collector, the accident took place around 3:30 pm.

Local police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. The administration has launched an investigation into the accident.
