A Thar crashed into a divider on the National Highway while exiting towards Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram at 4:30 am on Saturday, killing five of the six people inside.

The incident happened at Exit 9 of National Highway-48 when the car, overspeeding, collided directly with the divider after losing balance. Five people, including three women and two men, died on the spot, while one man was critically injured and admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Last year, in a similar incident, two students died and three others were injured when a speeding car lost control and crashed into another car and a motorcycle after changing lanes.

The accident occurred when the rear tyre of their vehicle burst, causing the car to be thrown over to the other side of the road. The car first hit a pole, then another vehicle coming from the opposite direction before crashing into a motorcycle, injuring the rider.
