5 killed as bus catches fire after contact with live wire in UP's Ghazipur

The incident took place in Mardah town of Ghazipur. According to preliminary information, the bus came into contact with a high-tension wire which resulted in the fire.

At least five passengers were killed and many others were left injured after a bus caught fire in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district on Monday.

According to preliminary information, the bus came into contact with a high-tension wire which resulted in the fire.

The incident took place in Mardah town of Ghazipur. The bus was going to Mahahar town when it caught fire.

The police and fire services are on the spot trying to douse the fire.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incident and directed top officials to visit the accident spot to oversee the relief operation.
