4 jawans dead, 28 injured after bus falls into gorge in J&K's Budgam

Four BSF jawans were killed and 28 others injured when their bus, carrying 36 personnel, plunged into a deep gorge near Brell village in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Four jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) were killed, and 28 others were injured on Friday after a bus they were travelling on fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam.

The hired bus was carrying 36 BSF jawans for election duty for the second phase of Assembly polls. It fell into a gorge near Brel of Watarhaal in the Budgam district.

A rescue operation was launched with the help of locals, and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Visuals from the accident scene show the bus completely crumpled in the accident.
