A 10-year-old boy in Delhi was fatally stabbed by his father after insisting on playing in the rain. The accused, a daily wage labourer, has been arrested and a murder case has been filed.

A 10-year-old boy in Delhi was stabbed to death allegedly by his father on Saturday after he insisted on going outside to play in the rain. The police have arrested the accused and recovered the weapon used in the crime.

On Saturday morning, police received a call from Dada Dev Hospital regarding a child who had been brought in with stab injuries. The Investigating Officer immediately reached the hospital and found that the victim had been declared dead by the attending doctors.n

Initial investigations revealed that the boy had been stabbed by his father. Accused, A Roy, a 40-year-old daily wage labourer residing in Sagarpur rea of the city.

The father reportedly objected when the child insisted on going out to play in the rain. When the boy did not listen, the father allegedly lost his temper, picked up a kitchen knife, and stabbed the child in the left rib area.

After the attack, the father rushed the injured boy to the hospital, but the child could not be saved.

Police said that the accused had been living with his four children in a single-room rented accommodation. His wife passed away a few years ago. The dead child was the third among the four siblings.

A case of murder has been registered against the father under relevant sections of law.

Further investigation is underway.
