Patna, 15th July 2026: Patna’s café culture received a new addition on July 15 as Cafe Buddy’s Espresso, SK Puri, launched what it described as Bihar’s first-ever UBE menu, introducing the globally popular purple yam flavour to customers in the state.
The launch was marked by an exclusive all-women creators’ meetup, where women content creators from across Patna gathered to experience the new menu before its public rollout. According to the café, the event brought together creators for networking, conversations, content creation and an exclusive first tasting of the UBE collection.
The café featured a lavender-themed setup inspired by the signature colour of UBE, while interactive sessions were organised as part of the launch. Guests explored the new menu, shared their first impressions and participated in activities centred around the new offering.
UBE, a purple yam widely used in desserts and beverages across several countries, has gained global popularity in recent years for its distinctive taste and vibrant appearance. The café said the launch makes it the first in Bihar to introduce a dedicated UBE menu.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurdita Singh, owner of Cafe Buddy’s Espresso, SK Puri, said the initiative reflects the café’s vision of bringing international café trends and unique experiences to Patna. He added that the café will continue introducing fresh concepts, new flavours and community-driven events to help the city’s café culture grow in an innovative and inclusive way.
The launch reflects a growing trend of cafés introducing internationally popular flavours alongside experience-driven events aimed at bringing together local communities and content creators.
