At least 13 people were killed and 10 others injured on Thursday after a jet-powered Russian drone struck two trains stopped at a station in central Ukraine, officials said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it a “horrific attack" in a post on X, saying passenger trains in Dnipro were hit.

Zelenskyy condemned the Russian drone strike on a railway station in Dnipro, calling for stronger sanctions against Moscow. In a post on X, he said 13 people had been killed and 10 others injured after a drone struck a platform where a suburban electric train and a passenger train were standing.

Zelenskyy also urged the European Union, the United States and the G7 to impose tougher sanctions on Russia, arguing that measures against Moscow and its war machine must not be weakened while the war continues.
