Amid Security Concerns, India Urges Nationals to Exit Iran Immediately

India has asked its citizens to avoid travelling to Iran and advised those already there to leave as tensions between Iran and Israel continue to rise.

India on Monday issued a fresh travel advisory for its citizens after renewed hostilities between Iran and Israel. The government advised Indian nationals not to travel to Iran and urged those currently in the country to leave through available means of transport.

In a statement, the Indian Embassy in Tehran asked Indians to remain alert and follow official updates. The embassy also repeated its earlier advice against non-essential travel to Iran.According to government officials, India has been keeping a close watch on developments in the region. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has stated that the safety and welfare of Indians living in West Asia remains a top priority.

Earlier, India had issued similar advisories as tensions escalated in the region. Authorities have also coordinated efforts to assist Indian nationals affected by the conflict and changing security situation.The latest advisory reflects concerns over the uncertain security environment in Iran and the wider West Asian region. Officials have urged citizens to stay informed through official government and embassy channels.The conflict has also raised concerns over air travel, regional trade routes and the overall security environment in West Asia.
