British singer Ed Sheeran’s Bengaluru concert turned special after his rendition of Chuttamalle took social media by storm. The singer performed the Telugu song from the film Devara with singer Shilpa Rao.

The British singer-songwriter, who is currently in India for the past few weeks, has been soaking in the desi vibes. After learning to strum the sitar, he also tried picking up some Telugu while in the state. During his concert on February 9, he invited Shilpa to join him in performing a cover of Chuttamalle.

Ed shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “Obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage tonight, and learn a new language (sic).”

This is the first time that Ed tried his hands at singing a Telugu song after his Punjabi attempt last year. Earlier, during his stop in Chennai amid his touring, the singer also tried his hands on Tamil after he sang the popular track, Urvasi Urvasi with AR Rahman.

The Perfect singer also shared a BTS video of himself learning how to pronounce the Telugu words with the Besharam Rang singer doubling up as his dialect coach. "Obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage tonight, and learn a new language (sic)” his caption read.

Ed Sheeran is currently touring India as a part of his ongoing Mathematics tour. He has already performed in Hyderabad and Chennai. He is slated to perform in Delhi NCR and Shillong next.
