Singer Chris Martin from the British band Coldplay visited Maha Kumbh 2025 at Prayagraj during his visit to India last month. Now, a new video of him is doing the rounds in which he, along with his partner, actor Dakota Johnson, are seen taking a holy dip at the Sangam.

The video was shared by a fan on Instagram who was also taking a holy dip at the same place when he spotted Chris and Dakota together, folding their hands and greeting other devotees at the Sangam. The video, which was captioned as "When you can’t go to the concert, the artist comes to you—at Kumbh Mela! Took a Sangam Snan with none other than Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Dakota, who followed every ritual with deep respect. Music unites, but faith transcends. Har har Mahadev (sic)!, has since gone viral on social media.

While Chris was seen in a pair of black shorts, Dakota wore a printed cotton kurta over a pair of orange pants. At one point in the video, the singer is seen greeting the partner of the man who recorded and shared the video online.

It is believed that Chris and Dakota took an early dip in the holy waters of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers. Earlier, another video of the two went viral in which Chris was seen inside his car, greeting the devotees by making funny faces on his way back to the airport.

The singer was in India for five concerts as part of his Music of the Spheres World Tour. He performed two jigs in Mumbai, and three in Ahmedabad, making a world record for the highest number of attendees at his concert ever. The Ahmedabad concert, which was organised at the sprawling Narendra Modi Stadium, was also the largest-ever ticketing concert that India has hosted.

The concert, which happened on January 26, also saw Chris presenting a rendition of Maa Tujhe Salaam and Vande Mataram to entertain the crowd and join them in the Republic Day festivities.
