Comedian Tanmay Bhat’s X account has been hacked. He shared a post on social media and warned followers and advising them not to click on suspicious links.

Tanmay’s compromised account posted about Solana, a blockchain platform known for its SOL tokens.

"I love memes and Solana so I figured it was time for me to drop my own coin. Dev supply will be locked momentarily, I will be using YouTube revenue from streams and videos to support the coin and implementing it into my content (sic)," the now-deleted post from the comedian’s X account read.

After he regained access to his account, Bhat addressed the situation on Instagram story, warning his followers, "My Twitter has been hacked. Please don't click on any links. Working to fix it (sic)," he wrote.

All the fraudulent posts have been deleted from his account.

This is not the first time that celebrities have fallen prey to such a scam. In 2020, the X accounts of various prominent personalities, including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian, were compromised by promoting a Bitcoin scam.
