'SRK disrespected Ram Charan, I walked out,' alleges makeup artist

JJ News Desk

Actor Shah Rukh Khan disrespected top Telugu star Ram Charan with his ‘idli vada’ remark at the Ambanis’ bash in Jamnagar, the latter’s makeup artist has alleged. Zeba Hassan added that she walked out of the event after, sharing a video from the evening on Instagram to support her charge. Several users on social media, though, said that Shah Rukh’s remarks on stage were similar to his dialogues from one of his earlier films, 'One 2 Ka 4', adding that it was all in jest.

Shah Rukh Khan was recently seen in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, where he attended the gala three-day event of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding. He danced on stage as well, and along with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, tried to do the ‘Naatu Naatu’ step as well. It was then that he called Ram Charan, who also joined the festivities, to come on stage and shake a leg with them. However, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana's makeup artist alleged that SRK was disrespectful towards the Telugu actor and addressed him as 'idli vada'. Soon after, she walked out of the event.

Makeup artist Zeba Hassan posted the video where Shah Rukh invites Ram Charan on stage on her Instagram story. She wrote that she was hurt by how SRK invited the 'RRR' star on stage and the 'idli vada' remark.

While some criticised SRK for the remarks, several others said that the superstar was only ever respectful towards Ram Charan, sharing a clip where the senior actor is seen on 'One 2 Ka 4'.

Some also pointed out how Shah Rukh Khan bowed to Ram Charan as he got up on the stage, even though he is a senior actor.

Shah Rukh Khan and Ram Charan share a good relationship. Moreover, Ram also shares a good bond with Salman Khan and recently appeared for a song in the latter’s film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’
