Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death has left everyone shocked and numb. The actress passed away on Friday night at 42. Initially, it was said that the actress died due to cardiac arrest. However, if a new report by the news agency IANS is to be believed, the Mumbai police are seemingly considering the actress’ death as suspicious.
Reportedly, Mumbai Police have launched a Preliminary Investigation and are currently questioning the household cook and domestic help to ascertain the sequence of events leading to her death.
A forensic team was also deployed to Shefali Jariwala’s residence, where they conducted an extensive search of the premises.
While no official statement has been issued about the cause or nature of her death, the presence of police and forensic officials suggests that the authorities are treating the case as suspicious.
Shefali Jariwala became a household name in the early 2000s with her sizzling performance in the remix video Kaanta Laga, earning her the moniker “Kaanta Laga Girl." She later featured in Salman Khan’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
In later years, Shefali transitioned to reality TV and gained popularity through her participation in Nach Baliye with her husband, and later, Bigg Boss 13. Her entry into the Bigg Boss house was particularly talked about due to her history with fellow contestant and late actor Sidharth Shukla. The two had dated over a decade ago, but Shefali maintained that they were always respectful of each other on and off the show.
Several television actors took to their respective social media handles to mourn the death of Shefali Jariwala. Himanshi Khurana, who also participated in Bigg Boss 13 with Shefali Jariwala, took to her Instagram stories and shared a throwback picture with the actress. “Bigg Boss that place is cursed I think," she wrote.
Kiku Sharda shared a picture of Shefali Jariwala on his Instagram handle and wrote, “This is shocking!!!!!! worked with her on a couple of web shows, she was full of energy, full of life, always greeted all with a big bright smile. Will miss you Shefali, you were a beautiful soul❤️Rest in Peace. Om Shanti ????????."
Among others, Kamya Punjabi, Rashami Desai, Rajiv Adatia and Kishwer Merchant also expressed grief over Shefali’s tragic death.
