Saiyaara has been breaking box office records consistently since its release on 18th July, 2025. The film is still going strong at the box office, even a week after its release. Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is set to premiere on Netflix in the coming months. However, reports indicate that the filmmakers are negotiating with Netflix to push the release date to around Diwali.

Typically, Hindi films become available on OTT platforms eight weeks after their theatrical release. Defying this trend, the creators are aiming to extend this window from 8 weeks to 90 days (three months), according to a Times Of India report. Saiyaara, which is reportedly produced with a budget of Rs 45 crore, has already crossed the Rs 170 crore mark at the domestic box office. With no other major Hindi releases imminent, the filmmakers are striving to maximise its theatrical revenue, states the TOI report. Initially scheduled to release on Netflix in the second week of September, the film might instead launch around Diwali if negotiations succeed.

On Day 7, Saiyaara minted Rs 16.61 crore. While the figure is slightly lower than its previous day’s earnings, the weekday numbers continue to stay in double digits. The total domestic collection now stands at approximately Rs 170.36 crore. With no major releases lined up for this Friday, the film is expected to dominate the box office in its second weekend as well.

About Saiyaara

Backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara tells the story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), an aspiring musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy writer. Their whirlwind romance is tested by an unexpected revelation. The film has been lauded for its emotional depth, intense performances, and soulful music.

Debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are earning a lot of praise for their performance in the film. A number of celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh, and others have publicly praised the film, and applauded the newcomers. With strong word of mouth, powerful storytelling, and heartfelt performances, Saiyaara continues to pull audiences to theatres.
