“Naatu Naatu,” the Indian Telugu-language song from the action drama RRR, beat out tunes by Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to win best original song at the 2023 Golden Globes.

The Telugu track Naatu Naatu is composed by veteran music director MM Keeravaani and penned by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. It has been sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. Composer MM Keeravani went on to the stage to receive the award as the film’s song won the trophy today. 

Naatu Naatu was competing against ‘Carolina’ from Where the Crawdads Sing, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Pinocchio, ‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick, and ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
