Actor Parineeti Chopra announced that she was expecting her first child with politician Raghav Chadha. The couple made a joint social media post on August 25, sharing the news with their fans and well-wishers. They also shared a cute video of them walking hand-in-hand, with a caption that read, "Our little universe on its way. Blessed beyond measure (sic)."

The announcement was made a few weeks after both Chadha and Chopra joked on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' that they would be sharing a "good news soon."

Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi and Neha Dhupia, among others, lined up in the comments section to congratulate the couple.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha got married at a lavish Udaipur wedding on September 24, 2023. The couple was joined by their close friends, family members and prominent names from politics and cinema.

On August 9, when the duo appeared on the Netflix comedy show hosted by Kapil Sharma, they were asked about having a child. Both Chopra and Chadha kept a smiling face and joked about having a child soon.
