When Kajol said, in an interview, that she wanted to question Shah Rukh Khan about Pathaan‘s 'real' box office take, she may have ignited a debate. Pathaan, SRK’s return movie, was one of Bollywood's biggest hits. It made history with its box office report after surpassing a global total of Rs 1000 crore.

Online rumours concerning the box office take have been observed, but Kajol's comments about Pathaan's take may have stoked the fire. The Trail's actor was asked to divulge a question she would put to SRK in an interview.

How much did Pathaan make, the actress retorted with a chuckle. She continued with a laugh, but the video got a lot of attention.

Although it is clear that she is joking, several people misunderstood her joke and thought she was criticising the box office take. Twitter user: "That means everyone in the industry knows something fishy about the Pathancollection," Muzee Doubt Tha Kuch Gadbad Hey, thanks Kajol Ma'am for giving us a clue," a third person said.

Several people also defended her. When someone commented, they said, "Bhai tu English classes le..she means Pathan made more than what was given in media." 

A different Kajol admirer commented, "#Kajol tried to pull hilarious statement but people misunderstood her trying to spread far negativity against King Khan." "A clip that has been clipped can't define anything. She is undoubtedly making fun of social media and discussing it in everything we see and hear. Social networking is entertaining, but few men take it seriously. Everyone is aware of their close relationship. At least stop starting these pointless battles, a third Twitter user said.

Speaking to Bollywood Spy in the meantime, Kajol expressed her happiness for Shah Rukh Khan. "I'm incredibly pleased for him. I'm genuinely delighted. I messaged him as well, telling him that I was overjoyed to learn of this. A huge hug and extreme happiness for him. I believe it to be a new stage and era for him, and I couldn't be happier for him. I believe he is and always will be the king.
