Johnny Depp responds after actor Lola Glaudini accuses him of verbal assault

JJ News Desk

After his infamous trial with ex-wife and actor Amber Heard, Hollywood star Johnny Depp is once again courting news, this time, for alleged mistreatment of Blow co-star Lola Glaudini. Depp's team has responded to the allegations, and while not outrightly denying it, they said Glaudini's recollection 'differs greatly' from other members on set at the time.

“Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with cast and crew and this recounting differs greatly from the recollection of other members on set at the time,” a representative for Johnny Depp told Deadline.

Lola Glaudini had earlier claimed that she was verbally abused on the sets of Blow by Depp. Speaking to the podcast Powerful Truth Angels, the actor recalled what had happened and said, "I hear the cue, and I go haha, I do a big laugh or whatever. Johnny Depp, when they say cut, walks over to me, comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face and he goes, ‘Who the f*** do you think you are? Who the f*** do you think you are? Shut the f*** up. I’m out here, and I’m trying to f***ing say my lines and you’re f***ing pulling focus. You idiot. Oh, now, oh now it’s not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can f***ing shut up? The quiet that you are right now, that’s how you f***ing stay.’”

Glaudini said the incident happened on the first day of her shoot: "This was my first studio movie, I'd just done indies until then. And I have the star who I idolized. The only thing going through my head was, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry.'”

Glaudini added that she later received “a non-apology apology” from the star: "He said, ‘You know, so earlier I was really in my head and staying in my character, I’m doing this Boston accent, and it’s really f***ing with me. So I’m a little tense and stuff. So I just wanted to make sure we’re cool and everything?’”

The actor added that the incident made her feel isolated on set as she claimed no one would talk to her after what had happened.
