Indian rapper Sooraj Cherukat, popularly known as Hanumankind, recently announced his latest foray into Tamil cinema. The singer confirmed lending his voice to Thalapathy Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’, directed by H Vinoth. The project is already making waves as Vijay’s final on-screen appearance before he devotes himself entirely to politics.
Hanumankind confirmed his collaboration with composer Anirudh Ravichander for the song. In a recent conversation with Ananda Vikatan, Hanumankind shared, “I have rendered a great rap song for Thalapathy Vijay in Jana Nayagan, composed by Anirudh.”
He did not share anything further about the track’s theme and mood, but this news has stirred up excitement among fans on social media.
This is not the first time that Hanumankind has contributed to cinema with his voice. Previously, he has worked on film soundtracks for ‘Maadeva’ in the Kannada action movie ‘Popcorn Monkey Tiger’ (2020) and ‘The Last Dance’ for Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Aavesham’ (2024).
Meanwhile, 'Jana Nayagan' is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festivities.
