Actor Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja denied the ongoing divorce speculations. While reacting to the reports about the couple taking the legal route, she urged the media not to make such claims.

Sunita, while speaking to ANI, addressed the alleged divorce reports: "If something had happened, then we would have been so close today. There would have been a distance between us. No one can separate us, not even if God comes from above... My Govinda is only mine and no one else's. Until we open our mouths, please do not say anything on this..."

The buzz began after Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, shared an emotional vlog on her YouTube channel, which led to the divorce speculations. Later, unverified reports claimed that Sunita had filed for divorce at Mumbai’s Bandra Family Court.

Govinda and Sunita's daughter Tina Ahuja, in an interview with Hindustan Times, dismissed the ongoing chatter as nothing more than gossip. She said, "It’s all rumours,” she said, adding that she doesn't let such speculation affect her. “I don’t pay attention to these rumours."

While speaking about Govinda and Sunita's reaction to the divorce reports, Tina said, "Kya bolun main (What should I say)? He is not even in the country."

"I feel blessed to have a beautiful family, and I’m truly grateful for all the love, concern and support we’ve been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones," she added.

Govinda, known for iconic commercial hits like 'Coolie No 1', 'Hero No 1', 'Haseena Maan Jayegi', 'Had Kar Di Aapne' and 'Jodi No 1', has been missing in action for a while.

The actor's last theatrical release was 'Rangeela Raja'.

Speculation about the divorce went rife after some reports claimed that Sunita officially filed for divorce on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion.

Sunita and Govinda recently came together for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai and cleared the air about the rumours.
