Director Payal Kapadia came close to winning the Best Director award at this year's Golden Globes but lost to Brady Corbet for The Brutalist. Her acclaimed work on All We Imagine as Light faced tough competition from Jacques Audiard (Emilia Perez), Sean Baker (Anora), Edward Berger (Conclave), Corbet (The Brutalist), and Coralie Fargeat (The Substance).
Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light also received a nomination for Best Non-English Language Motion Picture, competing against Emilia Perez, I'm Still Here, and The Seed of the Sacred Fig. However, it also missed the award in the same category to Emilia Perez.
All We Imagine As Light has been making waves and has been longlisted for three BAFTA awards.
Last month, the film was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. Starring Kani Kasruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and Hridhu Haroon, the film secured its spot in a competitive category alongside Emilia Perez, Flow, I'm Still Here, Kneecap, and The Seed of the Sacred Fig.
The awards are streaming live on Lionsgate Play.
