The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will extend train services beyond normal operating hours till midnight on October 30 (Friday) to facilitate the movement of spectators attending actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh's concert at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital.

JLN Stadium Metro Station, located on the Violet Line connecting Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh Ballabhgarh, is the nearest Metro station to the concert venue.

Special arrangements have been made for Dosanjh's 'Aura India Tour 2026' concert, which is expected to draw around 70,000 spectators, many of whom are expected to use the Metro to travel to and from the venue.

In a tweet, the DMRC said train services will be extended till 12 am across all Metro lines, except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro in Gurugram.

"Additional train trips will be operated across the network to ensure the smooth dispersal of spectators after the concert. Standby trains will also be kept ready to handle any unexpected surge in passenger traffic," the DMRC said.

The metro operator said it will also extend the QR ticket purchase timings on its mobile application, Delhi Metro Sarthi, by an hour in view of the extended operating hours.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS AT JLN STADIUM METRO STATION

The DMRC has made additional arrangements at JLN Stadium Metro Station and key interchange stations to manage the expected rush for the concert.

Additional Metro staff, customer service personnel and Customer Facilitation Agents (CFAs) will be deployed to guide commuters and regulate passenger movement. Security arrangements will also be strengthened at JLN Stadium station, with additional personnel, Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) and enhanced screening measures to ensure passenger safety, the DMRC said.

The DMRC has urged concertgoers to use Metro services for a convenient and environment-friendly commute while reducing dependence on private vehicles.
