Aditya Dhar’s follow-up to the 2025 blockbuster has cleared Ireland’s classification process and arrives in theatres worldwide on March 19, after paid previews in India on the evening of March 18. Aditya Dhar’s spy action sequel fronted by lead actor Ranveer Singh has drawn fresh attention not for its star cast but for how far it pushes the franchise’s intensity and length.
The Irish Film Classification Office’s entry for the film records the distributor’s submission and the board’s assessment completed on March 12. The overseas certificate flags the picture as “strong” for violence, harmful behaviour and language, and “moderate” for sex and nudity; the board’s notes single out strong, graphic injury detail in its comments. The same IFCO listing also shows the runtime as 235 minutes, which works out to roughly 3 hours 55 minutes almost 20 minutes longer than the first film’s final theatrical length.
The sequel is again produced under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, with the director also credited among the producers. The ensemble includes veterans and marquee names Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and Danish Pandor among them; questions remain about the extent of involvement from Akshaye Khanna’s character after the developments of the first instalment. The Irish clearance does not determine Indian certification; India’s Central Board of Film Certification is a separate process and the British Board of Film Classification has not publicly issued its own rating for the sequel yet.
Aside from certification news, the commercial story is moving fast: advance-booking figures for paid previews have surged, with several trade estimates placing India-paid-preview sales in the tens of crores and total worldwide pre-sales climbing strongly. Early trade reports put India’s paid-premiere receipts in the low-to-mid-20 crore range and wider advance numbers running higher as international markets add their share. That spike in preview bookings is the clearest development since the Irish listing and underlines expectations of a very large opening weekend.
The Irish rating together with the almost four-hour running time demonstrates that the filmmakers maintained both their intense artistic style and their extensive storytelling reach from the previous work. The film provides viewers with an extended powerful experience which will mostly attract adult audiences across multiple regions while the film distributors face challenges because the detailed content and extended runtime force them to make essential decisions about their daytime programming and family friendly shows. The film's strong advance bookings indicate that demand for the movie continues to be high despite the existence of higher age limits in certain markets.
The British Board of Film Classification and the Central Board of Film Certification in India will provide final ratings for the film which will determine its viewing restrictions and available versions in important markets.
