Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge had a blockbuster opening on Thursday. The Aditya Dhar directorial recorded a phenomenal Day 1 at the box office after already setting records with its premiere shows on Wednesday. The film is on course to rewriting history for Bollywood at the domestic box office.

While the confirmed figures will be ascertained by Friday morning, a report by Sacnilk suggests that the film collected nearly Rs 100 crore nett on its opening day, surpassing several big-ticket releases in the domestic market. Dhurandhar: The Revenge has now raced ahead of films like Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (2023), Prabhas's Adipurush, Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1, Kalki 2898 AD, Jr NTR's Devara: Part I, and Rajinikanth's Coolie.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has created history with its opening day performance for everyone associated with the film. It marks Ranveer Singh's biggest opener and is also the biggest film of Aditya Dhar's career so far.

Released during the Eid window, the film is expected to benefit from an extended opening weekend. Trade analysts are projecting a weekend total of nearly Rs 500 crore nett from India alone. The film is also performing strongly overseas, and its trajectory over the extended weekend will be closely watched.
