Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar visited Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Monday. Dressed in a crisp white kurta, he was seen walking towards the Triveni Sangam.

A video of Akshay being escorted towards the Triveni Sangam at Maha Kumbh was shared on the internet. The 57-year-old actor smiled as he walked down the stairs into the holy river.

After his visit, Akshay spoke to the media and thanked the workers and policemen for ensuring a smooth experience for pilgrims. He said, "I enjoyed here. There is a good arrangement, I thank CM Yogi Adityanath for [the] wonderful arrangement. I remember in 2019 during the last Kumbh, people used to struggle. This time, many big people are coming—Ambani came, Adani came, many big actors came. There is a great arrangement. I want to thank the policemen (and) workers with folded hands."

Before Akshay, several Bollywood actors, including Sonali Bendre, Vicky Kaushal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rajkummar Rao, Hema Malini, and Anupam Kher, among others, offered their prayers at the Maha Kumbh.

Akshay visited Maha Kumbh just a couple of days ahead of its conclusion on Mahashivratri on February 26. He also recently sang a song in praise of Lord Shiva. For the song, titled Mahakal Chalo, the actor collaborated with singer Palash Sen.

Akshay Kumar will play Lord Shiva in Vishnu Manchu's upcoming film Kannappa, set for release on April 25, 2025. Kajal Aggarwal will portray Parvati Devi in the film.
