We were three girls in a cab, heading to a nightclub in Goa around 10 PM. Just a kilometer away from our destination, the cab driver had to stop due to construction blocking the road. We got down and started walking the remaining distance—about 300 meters—when a taxi driver approached us, offering a ride but at an absurd price for such a short trip.
We were three girls in a cab on our way to a night club in Goa at 10 in the night. We were 1 km away from our destination when the cab driver had to stop the car due to a construction ahead on the road. We got down and after walking for about 300 metres , a taxi driver offered to drop us but he was charging a lot just to drop us at the club and seeing that it was night and the roads were also quiet and no vehicles to be seen. Since we didn’t had that much cash we started to bargain and since it was late night and nobody around we wanted to be safe. To our surprise that man was hell bent on the amount he told us. We then decided to walk our ways but god has its own way of showing kindness. Suddenly a car stopped by us and there was a girl who saw us and asked us to hop in her backseat of the car and said that she is also going to the same club. Not only that but she also made sure to drop us at our hotel once we were done partying. I always admire women taking care of other women and people who show kindness and help others.
It was late, the roads were quiet, and there were barely any vehicles around. Wanting to be safe, we tried bargaining, but he was adamant about his price. With no other option, we decided to walk. Just when the situation started to feel uneasy, kindness showed up in the most unexpected way.
A car suddenly stopped beside us, and a girl rolled down her window. She asked where we were headed and, realizing we were going to the same club, told us to hop in. Not only did she get us there safely, but she also made sure we reached our hotel once the night was over.
Women looking out for women—it’s something I will always admire. In a world that often feels unsafe, small acts of kindness like this make all the difference.
